A filthy trade, done cleanly
This comes up in more reviews than anything else. Floors sheeted, furniture covered, and the place swept before we leave. One customer thanked us for covering the books on the bookcase on the landing.

Plastering, skimming, Artex and rendering across Woodford Green, Buckhurst Hill, Loughton and east London. Everything sheeted up, everything cleared away, and a price that does not move.

Fresh plaster, photographed on the day it went on. That pink is what a proper finish looks like before it is painted.
Sean's own photos from the job, lined up so you can drag from the stripped-out room to the finished plaster.
Plastering
Stripped right back and sheeted up, then the chimney breast, walls and ceiling replastered and a new ceiling rose fitted.

One trade, done properly. Walls, ceilings, old Artex and outside render, across east London and west Essex.

Skimming over tired plaster, replastering walls that have blown, and making good after a rewire or a new kitchen. Uneven, patched, papered or cracked — it comes back flat. Customers keep using the same phrase about the finish: smooth as glass.
More on Plastering & Skimming
Old swirled and stippled ceilings are the most common job we are called for. Most can be skimmed flat rather than taken off, which is quicker, cleaner and cheaper. We will tell you which yours needs when we look at it.
More on Artex Removal
External rendering on houses, extensions and porches. Same trade, different material and a different set of problems — weather, movement and getting a consistent finish across a whole elevation.
More on Rendering
Boarding out new ceilings, stud walls and loft conversions, including insulated and soundproof board where it is wanted. Boarded and skimmed by the same people, so there is nobody to blame if the joints move.

A fixed price after we have seen the job, not a guess from photographs. Customers write that we kept to the quote to the penny.
Punctuality is in review after review, going back six years. If we say Tuesday at eight, it is Tuesday at eight.
Second time, third time, and neighbours who saw the van. Several reviews are from customers on their third job with us.
What we take on

Most of what we do is homes — a ceiling, a room, or a whole house after a rewire. We take on light commercial work too. Whatever the job, the aim is the same: a flat, smooth finish and a house left as clean as we found it.
Working across Woodford Green, Chingford, Loughton, Epping and east London. We take on plastering and skimming, Artex removal, rendering, and dry lining and boarding.

Usually within a day or two. We look at what is actually there, because photographs hide cracks, damp and blown plaster.

A price for the job, not a day rate that drifts. If something unexpected turns up we tell you before we do it, not after.

Floors, furniture and doorways covered before anything starts. Then boarding where it is needed, bonding, and skim. Most rooms are a day or two; a ceiling can be a morning.

Rubbish out, floors swept, and a look round together before we go. Give it a week or two to dry, then decorate.

“Sean made time for us during a busy schedule. His attention to detail and thoroughness were excellent, communication was very good and he was also very likeable and helpful. Read more of our reviewsIt depends on what is there rather than the size of the room — an Artex ceiling, a blown wall and a freshly boarded stud wall are three different jobs. We come and look, for free, and give you a fixed price for the work. No day rates that drift.
Usually, yes. Most textured ceilings can be covered and skimmed flat rather than taken off, which is quicker, cleaner and cheaper. Artex from before the 2000s can contain asbestos, so unless we know yours went up after the 1990s, we always advise a test first. We will tell you what yours needs when we see it.
Give it at least a week, and longer in winter or on a thick coat. It is ready when the last of the dark patches have gone and the whole wall is an even pale pink. Then a watered-down mist coat first.
A lot, which is exactly why we sheet everything. Floors, furniture, doorways and anything we walk past get covered, and the place is swept before we leave. It is the thing customers mention most in reviews.
Yes. A single ceiling, a patch after a socket has moved, making good after a rewire. Plenty of our reviews are for an hour's work, and we would rather do it than turn you away.
Usually within a day or two. We are out seven days a week, 7am to 7pm, and several customers have been quoted and booked in the same week.
